Artsürem Berlin

Shipping and delivery

Our works come from Ankara. Depending on the format, we deliver in one of two ways; your offer will say which.

Shipping from Ankara

For most works: professionally packed and insured, by courier or, for large formats and sculptures, by a specialist fine art shipper. We handle export clearance in Turkey (electronic export declaration) and send you the tracking link.

Personal handover in Berlin

We bring smaller works to Berlin in person and hand them over by appointment at your home or office. The work is exported from Turkey and declared to German customs on arrival, with you as the importer. You receive the customs receipt with the work.

Customs and import VAT

Works are delivered from outside the EU. Our prices do not include import charges; you are the importer (delivery terms DAP). For paintings and drawings, original prints and original sculptures there is normally no customs duty in Germany, and import VAT is 7%. Ceramic objects that are not classified as original sculpture for customs purposes, such as vessels, may be subject to 19% import VAT and possibly customs duty. Your offer states the rates that apply to your work.

For shipped works, the courier or shipper collects the import VAT, any customs duty and, where applicable, a handling fee on delivery. With a personal handover, we can advance the import VAT for you on request. Businesses can usually reclaim import VAT as input tax.

Costs and insurance

We will state shipping, packing and insurance costs in our offer. Every work is insured for its full value in transit.

Delivery countries

We deliver to Germany. Delivery to other EU countries is possible by arrangement; their import VAT rates apply.
